Jan Karrmann

Hello and welcome to Just Kidding Around Daycare and Preschool.

I'm Jan, the owner of Just Kidding Around. What a lucky lady I am. I have the best job a person could ask for. Not only am I lucky enough to take care of our own three children (ages 10, 12 and 15), I have the privilege of getting to know and help take care of your children as well.

Previously, I was an Executive Secretary at Hubbard Broadcasting to the Chairman, President and CEO for 10 years. While searching for the kind of childcare desired for our children that fit into our demanding careers, we realized what a great need there was for more childcare in the Farmington and Lakeville Communities.

I returned to school at Dakota County Technical College and received my Child Development Teacher Qualifications. I also hold two associate degrees in Court Reporting and Legal Specialist areas and completed two years of general study in Business and Music at Luther College.

I enjoy children of all ages and love to be in the classroom whenever I can. I enjoy getting to know everyone and am always amazed at how much the children teach me!

Recently, I was appointed a fellowship for Child Care WORKS, which is a nonprofit advocacy organization which promotes quality, accessible, affordable child care.

Our family enjoys hockey, hockey, and more hockey, along with lacrosse, gymnastics, bicycling, and going up north on the weekends four-wheeling.

Melissa Berg

PRESCHOOL: Hi, I'm Melissa. I am truly enjoying myself here at Just Kidding Around. I also work for the Lakeville School District where I am a lunch lady at Kenwood Trail Middle School. I've worked with children off and on my entire life, so after graduation, I decided to get my degree in Early Childhood Education. I'm a wife and mother of 3 children (24, 19 and 19...not twins!). Our family enjoys baseball, basketball, football and hockey games. My husband and I love to go for walks with our dogs, Sammi and Kira.

Jackie Dean

PRESCHOOL: Hi, my name is Jackie. I started out at JKA's Farmington location and occasionally was a sub here at Lakeville. I fell in love with the kids and decided to stay! I enjoy playing with kids, being outside, doing crafty things and making children smile! I lived in North Carolina for about 6 years before I moved to Minnesota. I also like to babysit for my neighbors and family friends. We always have so much fun together!
